Newborn photography is all about preserving those precious early moments of life — the tiny fingers, sleepy smiles, and fleeting expressions that change in the blink of an eye.

Our philosophy is straightforward:

Your baby's well-being is our top priority.

While beautiful photographs are important, they should never come at the cost of your baby's comfort, safety, or natural needs. A newborn session isn't about forcing poses or chasing perfection. It's about creating a serene atmosphere where your little one feels secure, cozy, and cared for.

A Gentle Approach To Newborn Posing

Newborns are still growing and developing, which makes their muscles, joints, and circulation delicate. That's why we take a gentle and thoughtful approach to posing.

We steer clear of uncomfortable positions, excessive wrapping, or setups that might put pressure on your baby. Every pose is guided by your baby's comfort and natural movements. If a particular position doesn't seem to work, we simply move on.

Some of the most stunning newborn photographs come from the smallest moments — tiny hands, sleepy expressions, gentle cuddles, and the bonds between family members.

Simple Styling, Thoughtfully Prepared

Before you arrive, we carefully plan our newborn sessions.

We set up three different styled arrangements with coordinated colors, textures, and materials that complement each other beautifully. This way, we can transition smoothly between setups while still providing variety in your gallery.

Our styling emphasizes timeless simplicity, avoiding overly complicated props. We also pay close attention to the materials we use around your baby, ensuring that everything is soft and comfortable, as newborn skin is particularly sensitive.

What To Expect During Your Session

Our newborn sessions go beyond just capturing baby portraits.

Along with individual photographs of your baby, we also make time for:

  • Parent and baby portraits

  • Family photographs

  • Sibling images

  • Gentle connection moments

These images often hold the most meaning, capturing the love and relationships that surround your new arrival.

Preparing For Your Newborn Session

A little preparation can make your experience smoother and more enjoyable.

Before You Arrive

Giving your baby a bath beforehand can help them feel fresh and comfortable. If your baby's skin is dry or peeling, there's no need to worry; this is a natural part of newborn skin changes, and any minor details can be gently refined during editing.

Flushed or blotchy skin is also completely normal for newborns and can be adjusted during editing.

Clothing Before The Session

When dressing your baby, opt for clothing that opens at the front instead of over their head. Newborns are sensitive to temperature changes and movement, so minimizing disturbances helps keep them calm and settled.

For diapers, avoid fastening them too tightly. A snug diaper can leave marks on delicate skin and may make your baby uncomfortable. Instead, just tuck the diaper into place. Removing tightly fastened diapers can sometimes wake a sleeping baby at just the wrong moment.

These small details help ensure your baby's comfort and make the transition into the session as smooth as possible.

Feeding & Comfort

A well-fed baby is generally a happier baby.

Please feed your baby before arriving at the studio, but don't worry if they need extra feeds during the session. We allow plenty of time for feeding, settling, cuddles, and comfort breaks.

If your baby uses a pacifier, please bring it along. Even babies who don’t typically use one can find comfort in it during transitions between setups.

The Best Time For Newborn Photography

The ideal window for newborn photography is typically between 2 to 8 days old. During these early days, babies tend to be sleepier and more settled, naturally curling into those adorable newborn positions.

As they grow, they become more alert and their movements more vigorous, which can make traditional newborn-style photos a bit trickier. However, every baby is unique, so if your little one is older, feel free to reach out — we can discuss the best approach for them.

Our Newborn Studio Environment

Newborn sessions need a warm and comfortable setting.

We keep our studio at around 37°C during these sessions to ensure your baby stays cozy and comfortable while being photographed. Given the warmth, we suggest wearing light, comfortable clothing yourself for the session.

A Calm Experience For Your Family

A newborn session should never feel rushed.

Babies need time — time to feed, time to settle, time for cuddles, and time to simply be newborns.

Our goal is to create a safe and comfortable environment where we can naturally capture this special chapter of your family's story. The tiny details may change quickly, but the photographs will help you cherish those moments forever.
